Earlier this week, it was revealed that Montreal Canadiens prospect Jesse Ylonen had opted not to get the COVID-19 vaccination due to personal reasons. Now it appears that his feelings towards the vaccine have changed.

According to Ville Touru of Ilta-Sanomat, the 21-year-old has decided to get the vaccine, citing the difficulties to play during the season, in terms of travel, without getting the shot.

"The rules changed in the direction that without the vaccine the season would have been difficult, Ylönen says. We had a discussion with the club. I was not pressured, but the decision was mine."

If Ylönen had stayed with his original decision to not get the vaccine, he would have missed any of Montreal or Laval's games in the United States due to quarantine restrictions for unvaccinated people coming into Canada.
