Wednesday evening was expected to be a fun and exciting evening for the NHL and its 32nd franchise, the Seattle Kraken, but what happened around 10am ET on Twitter may have taken the wind out of the sales for all parties involved, as well as the fans from the various NHL fanbases.

Former TSN and current Daily Face Off Hockey Insider Frank Seravalli essentially tapped all of his league sources to figure out who Seattle was taking from each team and leaked damn near every single pick on Twitter, 8-10 hours ahead of the planned televised festivities.

Before people light the torches and sharpen their pitchforks, we need to recognize and acknowledge that Seravalli was simply doing his job. A job that he is apparently VERY good at. The onus here is on those within the various organizations who supplied this information to Seravalli and other reporters well ahead of time.

Seravalli has been the subject of much maligned dialogue since this morning, with many suggesting that he and some of his fellow journalists sucked the fun out of the expansion draft for the Seattle Kraken and their fans. You likely won't get any argument there from Spittin' Chiclets co-host Paul "Biz Nasty" Bissonnette, who took to Twitter on Wednesday afternoon to take a jab at Seravalli on the popular social media platform.

"Nobody invite this guy to a gender reveal party," quipped Biz Nasty, insinuating that Seravalli spoiled the party in Seattle.

I think we can all agree that a little journalistic integrity would have been nice here, but if I'm Seattle, I'm LIVID right about now and would be requesting that the NHL direct its clubs to investigate who leaked the information and potentially cost the televised expansion draft event a good chunk of its ratings.
