J.T. Miller was almost moved by the Canucks over the weekend, and now we know the deal that almost saw him reunited with the New York Rangers, involving several intriguing pieces heading West in return.

Over the past week, it has become clear that it's a matter of when, not if the Vancouver Canucks trade J.T. Miller, and over the weekend, the New York Rangers almost landed their former star.

Speculation has been running rampant about who could be involved in the deal, and now, an insider has revealed exactly what the deal could have been to send Miller East.

Thinks the package was Chytil Lindgren and a conditional first, but the conditions might've been where things fell apart

According to the report, the deal would have been young forward Filip Chytil, defenseman Charlie Lindgren and a conditional first round draft pick, although it's likely the conditions on this pick that made the deal fall apart.

Unsurprisingly, fans in the comments of that report believed this would have been a steal for the Rangers, as it would have landed them a top star for a young, injury prone forward and a pending UFA.

The deal appears to be completely dead now, with several other teams now joining the race to land Miller, and while this version of a trade may longer exist, don't be surprised to see the Rangers push in one of their biggest pieces to make this happen as they once again look to push for a Stanley Cup.

In Miller, they'd be landing a former 100-point scorer and a player that still effects the game on both ends of the floor, so while this deal didn't get it done, if something similar is available, the two teams could continue conversations throughout the week.
