While some see Brady Tkachuk as a dirty player on the ice, the Senators captain showed true class on the ice Sunday when he made a very noble move as he waived off a powerplay due to a missed call on himself by the officials.

Over the past few years, Brady Tkachuk has built up a reputation similar to his brother, and while Sens fans and teammates absolutely love him, it's safe to say that rival fans aren't as thrilled with him.

On Sunday however, he showed just how classy he was on the ice, with Eric Engels detailing a situation that happened during the Senators clash with the New Jersey Devils.

Mad respect for what Brady Tkachuk just did.

He snapped his head back to avoid a high stick and the refs thought he got clipped and called a penalty.

Tkachuk waved it off and told them he didn't get clipped, so no penalty.

Every player should be so noble.

Given how desperate the Senators are for every point they can get, it would have been easy for Tkachuk to simply take the powerplay for his team, but showed his class by waiving it off and keeping things at a level playing field.

On slow motion, it's easy to see why the officials were fooled, as the stick came awfully close when he snapped his head back, but in the end, the right call was made as Tkachuk waived the officials off.

Ultimately, this won't change the opinion on Tkachuk for many, but it's a great move from a fantastic leader, and if he continues to play like this and handle himself the way he has in recent times, it's safe to say that he'll slowly morph into one of the top captains in the entire NHL, if he's not there already.
