Yesterday, the Golden Knights were in Ahamein to face the Ducks. Vegas is currently at the top of the Pacific Division, with a 17-7-3 record, four points over the Los Angeles Kings at the second rank, while Anaheim is comfortably sitting at the last spot of the same division.
Mark Stone's team defeated the Ducks 4-1 in a great collective effort. Notably, four players scored two points, including Jack Eichel and Shea Theodore, both set to represent their country at the NHL Four-Nations Face-Off next February.
Unfortunately, the Ducks not only lost the game, but also one of their star forwards, Trevor Zegras.
Zegras got injured on his own, by losing his footing after a faceoff. He collapsed on the ice after a weird leg move.

Usually, when players get injured on their own and leave the game, it's serious. What's even more worrying is that Zegras seemed in a lot of pain, and could barely put weight on his leg as he left the ice.
Zegras, 23, was limited to 31 games last season due to injuries. Since being drafted ninth overall by the Ducks in 2019, he has never completed a full season in the NHL but did take part in 81 games in the 2022-23 season, when he had a career-high 65-point tally.
This year, he had 10 points, including four goals, in 24 games.
Greg Cronin, the Anaheim Ducks head coach, discussed Zegras' situation and how it impacts the team last night in a press conference.
Here's what he had to say:
Updates on Zegras' health are expected soon. Stay tuned to learn the latest details.
