Matt Rempe was handed an 8 game suspension after his latest act on the ice, and now the NHL's top insider has delivered a stern message to the 23-year old.

For the past year, Matt Rempe has been one of the most intriguing stories in the NHL, but after his latest eight-game suspension for a hit on Dallas' Miro Heiskanen, there's fears that he simply can't adjust at the NHL level.

The suspension was the fourth of his career, giving him double the amount of suspensions that he has points in the NHL, and while there's room for players to play this physical brand of hockey, doing it illegally like Rempe consistently does just isn't a recipe for success.

Now, top NHL Insider Elliotte Friedman has called out Rempe, giving him a stern warning that if he doesn't change his game or improve his decision making on the ice, he's set to lose his NHL dreams.

"He deserved the suspension for it and all I can say is I hope he learns his lessons... He's just gotta learn his lessons, and if he doesn't, then, you know, he's gonna keep getting suspended or eventually his NHL dreams will come to an end."

While having a 6-foot-7 monster roam the ice and lay hits on people could be interesting for fans, unfortunately Rempe has become a danger to himself and the other players on the ice, and he simply hasn't learned how to adjust his game to flirt with the line rather than consistently crossing it.

Now, we will wait and see how he adjusts after his latest suspension, and while he still has potential to be a solid fourth-liner in the NHL, if he can't change his game and stay on the ice, the Rangers will have no choice but to move on from him.
