A recent game of Pickleball turned ugly, as a player appeared to have recklessly injured an opponent, and now there are calls for this person to be arrested.

One of the fastest-growing sports in the U.S., Pickleball draws in new fans and players at a record pace.

The sport is so on the rise in appeal that, just about wherever there's growing popularity, some unsportsmanlike behavior will bleed onto the court.

Though often described as a mix of tennis and ping pong, and undeniably fun, pickleball seems to get players really worked up. For some, the competitive spirit sometimes devolves into unacceptable behavior.

Of the incidents that have gone viral, one of the most recent happened on Sunday. Fans and players alike are up in arms.

Barstool Jordie took to social media with a video of the jaw-dropping incident that many say was an act of aggression that has finally crossed the line.

As you can see, that's definitely assault right there, which is pretty much the general consensus through online comments that this behavior deserves some serious accountability.

"How his teammate didn't steamroll him is wild to me," one fan wrote.

"Dude knocked the paddle out his hand, I agree w buddy," one fan joked.

"Does pickleball need enforcers?" one fan added.

"It's fun watching overly domesticated suburbanites experience mild violence every once in a while," one fan added.

"Not quite deserved, but not quite uncalled for," one fan added.

How would you have felt or reacted to such a scenario if you had been an opponent on the court?

The man who got kicked in the face remained pretty calm, but there's no doubt he had the wind kicked right out of him.
