A witness has provided details to the New Jersey State Police about the exact details leading up to the moment the Johnny Gaudreau fatality occurred.

A reporter for Fox 29 News Philadelphia by the name of Steve Keeley has just provided the grim details of what occurred in the moments leading up to when Johnny Gaudreau and his brother Matthew Gaudreau were struck by a drunk driver named Sean Higgins.
It seems that a witness driving in the car at the time the accident occurred provided the shocking details to the New Jersey State Police.
Johnny Gaudreau was excited to get another season going with the Columbus Blue Jackets and was hoping to build off the 12 goals and 60 points he had with the team in his 81 games played last season. Unfortunately, fans will never get to see him don a Blue Jackets jersey again due to this unthinkable act.
This unspeakable tragedy has affected countless amounts of people around the hockey world today. Now that the details of what exactly occurred have been revealed, everyone is hoping that swift action will be taken to ensure that the culprit, Sean Higgins, will be put behind bars for a very long time. No one should have to lose their life over a drunk driver.
