The Philadelphia Flyers have been dealing with goaltender drama in recent times, and now they've stolen a top prospect from the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Two teams that have dealt with plenty of issues in net in recent years are the Maple Leafs and Flyers, and now the latter have officially added an intriguing prospect from Toronto. According to a report, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, the Flyers AHL team have officially inked Keith Petruzzelli to a deal following an inconsistent season with the Marlies in the AHL.
The Lehigh Valley Phantoms are signing goaltender Keith Petruzzelli to an AHL contract for 2024-25.

The 6-foot-6 former 2017-3rd round pick of Detroit went 6-8-2 with a 3.55 GAA & .867 SV% in 17GP with Toronto Marlies last year.
In 2023-24, the hulking goaltender managed just a 3.55 GAA and an .867, a major step back from 29 games in the previous year where he had an impressive 2.90 GAA and a .909 save percentage. With question marks at the NHL level in net, the 25-year old former third-round draft pick has the chance to make his NHL debut in 2024/25, although he'll need a major bounce back from last year.
With Joseph Woll and Anthony Stolarz manning the net in Toronto, it makes sense that he wanted to look for opportunities elsewhere, and now we will see if he can bring his best to the ice and push for an NHL spot.
