Vladimir Tarasenko was a key part of the Panthers 2024 Stanley Cup victory, but now heartbreaking news has been confirmed about his family.
The past few months have been incredible successes for Vladimir Tarasenko, as he claimed the second Stanley Cup of his career, this time with the Florida Panthers. Unfortunately, there has been a tragic announcement made about his family on social media, as it has been revealed that his father tragically passed away.
After a report emerged that Andrei Tarasenko, Vladimir's father had passed away, it was quickly confirmed by HC Sabir.
HC Sibir has confirmed this.
Andrei Tarasenko has passed away. 😢 #RIP
56 years old.
This is tragic news for Tarasenko and his family, as well as the hockey world, as Andrei was a beloved veteran of many years in Russia, and stayed connected with the hockey landscape over there even after his playing career came to an end.
We send all our thoughts, prayers and condolences to Vladimir Tarasenko, his friends and family, and to anyone that was impacted by Andrei's life throughout his 20-year playing career in Russia and beyond.
Rest in Peace Andrei Tarasenko.
