There has been a lot of controversy surrounding Jets' prospect Rutger McGroarty and his poor attitude, and now some are saying he is the next Nail Yakupov.

The Jets have been shopping McGroarty arround for a few weeks now, and a deal came very close to being done at the NHL draft, but it eventually fell through as teams began to learn of the attitude problems surrounding McGroarty.
If this is true, I wouldn't touch that guy with a ten-foot pole! This sense of entitlement is nauseating, truthfully. A 20 year-old wanting guarantees that he will be in the NHL and about his ice time? Prove yourself kid. Earn your keeps! #GoJetsGo

"there are other teams that might be interested in Rutger McGroarty that are hearing alot of the same things from the McGroarty camp that the Jets have heard" -

McGroarty is being called entitled despite not even having NHL experience. Now, fans and people in the hockey world are beginning to compare McGroarty to Nail Yakupov, a former Edmonton Oilers player who had so much potential, but let it all fall through due to major bahaviour problems. The Oilers ultimately got rid of Yakupov, realizing that they had made a mistake when they drafted him.
Brian Burke said Yakupov gave the WORST draft interview he had ever heard.

Here's Nail's side of the story:

McGroarty has proved he can win at the junior level, however it doesn't seem to be turning out as planned in the NHL yet. The Jets will need to quickly figure out where they go from here, if they want to avoid having Yakupov 2.0 on their team.
