Carolina Hurricanes and Winnipeg Jets make a trade

It was announced today that the Winnipeg Jets have acquired defenseman Dylan Coghlan from the Carolina Hurricanes.

Dylan Coghlan has reportedly been traded from the Carolina Hurricanes to the Winnipeg Jets, per NHL insider Elliotte Friedman.

With the Carolina Hurricanes trying to make a deep playoff run, they no longer have space for young guys like Dylan Coghlan. He will get a much bigger and well deserved opportunity with the Winnipeg Jets, as they look to avenge their first round loss from last season.

Having been in the role of seventh defenseman, Coghlan's development may have stalled, but the Carolina Hurricanes are giving him a new chance to shine in Winnipeg. We will see if it works between Dylan Coghlan and the Winnipeg Jets.
