Recently during a broadcast on Hockey Night in Canada legendary host Ron MacLean disrespected the Edmonton Oilers and several NHL players with a single action.

During the pre-game show before the Edmonton Oilers and Vancouver Canucks game the Hockey Night in Canada crew had an Oilers jersey on set. Ron MacLean was holding up the jersey during the segment. After the segment was done he attempted to place the jersey on the floor.

Throwing a jersey on the floor is a fine Ron

Immediately Kevin Bieksa grabs the jersey and continues to hold it up. He also gives a look to Ron MacLean as if to say what are you doing. Eventually, the segment would end and Kevin Bieksa could pass the jersey off.

Bieksa stopped McLean from putting oilers jersey on the floor. He's the best.

An NHL jersey to players and those within the industry is to be treated with respect. Ron MacLean broke that respect and has been flamed on social media for it now since the clip has gone around social media.

As the playoffs continue all eyes will be on Ron MacLean to see if he has another mistake like this and accidentally disrespects another franchise before the season is done.
