Last night the Edmonton Oilers beat the Dallas Stars to tie up the Western Conference Finals after the game Kevin Bieksa spoke about the media's treatment of Darnell Nurse.

Heading into last night's game Edmonton Oilers defenseman Darnell Nurse was struggling. It got to the point where the media was asking him if he was going to play. This led to an awkward and short interview between the two sides.
Darnell Nurse wasn't feeling very talkative during his media availability that lasted less than a minute.
Despite the speculation, Darnell Nurse would end up playing and doing well enough to help the Edmonton Oilers tie the series up with the Dallas Stars. After the game, Darnell Nurse ended up being the topic of conversation by all. This included NHL analyst Kevin Bieksa who torched the media for their treatment of Darnell Nurse.
Darnell Nurse, you think about his day, his morning. He gets to the rink, and he has to meet with the Edmonton Meat, that's what I call the media because they're raw, dead and dumb.
After the win Oilers head coach Kris Knoblauch also spoke about Darnell Nurse. After being critical earlier in the day this time he complimented his veteran defenseman.
«Personally, I thought it was his best game of the series.»

Darnell Nurse has picked up his play at the perfect time. With the series tied all of the most important games are ahead of the Edmonton Oilers. If they can continue getting high level play from Darnell Nurse the Oilers could punch their ticket to the Stanley Cup Finals.
