All-time great NHL enforcer spotted dating an Olsen twin

An equally loved and hated former NHL enforcer has been spotted about town on a date with one of the famed Olsen twins, setting the internet on fire

He's the kind of guy that one mention of his name will likely get an equal amount of cheers and jeers in a room full of hockey fans. Sean Avery played almost 600 games in the NHL based on his ability to get himself, and his fists into other players faces. Avery is back in the spotlight online, but it has nothing to do with his on-ice career.

Avery has been spotted on a date with Mary-Kate Olsen, one half of the famous Olsen twins, who rose to fame initially on the TV show Full House, and went on to build an entertainment and fashion empire around their names.






This is not the first celebrity that Avery has dated. From 2015 to 2022, he was married to model Hilary Rhoda, and also dated model/actress Rachel Hunter in the early 2000s. Avery best-known celebrity relationship is likely with Canadian actress Elisha Cuthbert, whom he was with from 2005 to 2007. That, of course, led to one of Avery's most controversial lines in the NHL, when he talked about fellow NHLer Dion Phaneuf dating his "sloppy seconds." Phaneuf and Cuthbert were married in 2013 and are still together.




Avery and Mary-Kate Olsen were spotted visiting Avery's friend Andy Cohen in The Hamptons last weekend. Cohen, a TV presenter, writer and host, has been friends with Avery for a long time. Avery and Olsen reportedly had a brief fling in 2007, and have stayed friends since that time.
