Last year, tragedy struck the hockey world when Matt Petgrave fatally injured Adam Johnson, and now there's a major update on his situation.

Initially following the incident, Petgrave was arrested on charges of manslaughter, but for the third time, it has now been revealed that his bail has been extended, this time until June 26th of this year.

Matt Petgrave, who is under arrest on suspicion of manslaughter to Adam Johnson during a game in the United Kingdom's top flight hockey league, has been re-bailed for the third time, with the extension spanning to June 26th, 2024.

He is still to remain in Nottingham until a trial.

The 32-year old remains under arrest and cannot leave Nottingham until a trial begins, following the tragic event that saw the passing of former NHLer Adam Johnson. While some maintain the incident was accidental, Petgrave still faces charges as the incident that led to Johnson's passing was certainly a unique situation, regarded by many as a play that should never have happened.
