Boston Bruins captain Brad Marchand, despite only being a generous 5-foot-9, is tough as nails. Unfortunately, Florida Panthers forward Sam Bennett injured him with a dirty hit.

Per head coach Jim Montgomery, Brad Marchand has now been listen as day-to-day, after leaving game 3 against the Florida Panthers with an injury.

Montgomery equally addressed that Brad Marchand is furious with the situation, and hinted that Sam Bennett deserves supplemental discipline.

Boston coach Jim Montgomery said Marchand is day-to-day with an upper-body injury, but was upset about the hit and apparent punch from Sam Bennett — adding there's a history with him and «evidence of what went on.»

Florida's Paul Maurice defended his player, saying he didn't see it the same way.

By watching the video, it appears this hit is in a bit of a grey area, as it has elements of a clean hit, but also undeniable intent. The NHL's department of player safety may take a second look at it.

Do you think Sam Bennett deserves supplemental discipline for this hit on Brad Marchand?
