The Tampa Bay Lightning head coach Jon Cooper is currently under fire for demeaning comments against women after his team got eliminated by the Panthers last night.

In his post-game press conference, Cooper made a long speech about how the NHL's video review system isn't consistent. If you recall, last night, in game 5, the referees overturned two Bolts goals for goaltender interference after going to the video review.

Watch both goals here:

Cooper was angry to see these two goals being overturned, and he has the right to be. They could've completely changed the momentum of the game.

However, he went too far at some point. He made a sexist comment about how the League protects the goaltenders. He said that they "might as well put skirts on them":

"We might has well put skirts on them then... I think we're letting the goalies off the hook."

Cooper has been facing a lot of negative criticism since that declaration:

Cooper should've known better that you can't say that sort of thing. Unfortunately, this one sentence cast a shadow on the rest of his statement, which could've been way more powerful and convincing if he hadn't made that sexist comment.
