The Toronto Maple Leafs are going through a rough stretch in their first-round series versus the Boston Bruins. Star forward Mitch Marner is no stranger to criticism, but it's reached an all-time high. This has caused former Maple Leafs forward Jay Rosehill to go on a rant detailing the effort, or lack thereof.

While the Toronto Maple Leafs currently trail 3-1 in the series, the impact of star players like Mitch Marner are rightfully coming into question.

Jay Rosehill called the Maple Leafs' effort uninspiring and pathetic, but when he detailed his thoughts on Mitch Marner, here's what he had to say:

"I look at Mitch Marner and the breakdown of his shifts. All I can think is, who do you think you are?"

While Rosehill wasn't known for his scoring abilities, his many criticisms of Marner's play are very fair. Rosehill thinks that Marner stops and starts when he feels like it, calling that an entitled effort that you would only see in peewee.

The entire 1:45 of Jay Rosehill's epic rant includes some golden quotes, even questioning whether Marner expects everything handed to him.

"Do you expect everything to be given to you in your life because your daddy has told you that you're the greatest thing since sliced bread since you were five."

Jay Rosehill shares a platform and a collective frustration that many Toronto Maple Leafs fans share when Mitch Marner is on the ice during playoffs.

The question of Marner's effort since the Maple Leafs have gone down 3-1 in the series has expanded to the teams' potential offseason moves. Many are demanding this be the last of Marner in Toronto, but with a full no-movement clause, fans may have to see another year of Mitch Marner wearing the Maple Leaf logo.
