The 2023-24 NHL season was a memorable one for Flyers captain Sean Couturier, but after a recent move, it may have been his last in Philadelphia.

Early on in 2023-24, Sean Couturier was named captain of the Philadelphia Flyers, and shortly thereafter, he was officially benched for several games by veteran Head Coach John Tortorella, with mixed reactions to the move from within the Flyers fan base.

With the friction between the two becoming palpable towards the end of the season, it was rumoured that the veteran forward could request a trade, and now, he's switched agents, signalling a move could be on the way.

#Flyers captain Sean Couturier has changed agents. Now represented by Pat Brisson at CAA Sports.

While his last agent landed Couturier an eight-year deal, he is now represented by CAA Sports and Pat Brisson, with the expectation around the league being that a trade request could come soon. With the success the Flyers had in the regular season, a move would likely be welcomed by both sides, and with many teams looking for veteran depth, they may be able to get a solid return for the 31-year old.
