The Arizona Coyotes are seemingly on the way out, and while the Blue Jackets tried to dunk on their fans, it didn't turn out well on social media.

There's been plenty of commentary on the Coyotes reported move to Salt Lake City, and while criticism certainly deserves to be sent the way of ownership, the fans have been loyal and dedicated for years, despite this not being a traditional market. So, when the Columbus Blue Jackets spotted a Coyotes fan in the arena during their clash with the Carolina Hurricanes, this is how they handled it;

Extremely dissrespectful.

Unsurprisingly, fans weren't too impressed by another NHL team trying to dunk on a loyal fan that's losing his team, and given that Columbus have had little to no success, and were playing against a former relocation team, the fans are unsurprisingly not impressed.

I was at this game... You'd think a city that nearly lost a major pro sports team of their own (the Crew) wouldn't rub salt in the wound of a relocating team, but here we are.

Sure, it was meant to be a light hearted joke, and taking a shot at ownership is perfectly fine, but given the loyalty that their fans have shown as they go through this heartbreaking time, this was just a little unnecessary.
