Washington Capitals resident heavy hitter Tom Wilson is at it once again as he delivered a late bone-rattling hit on unsuspecting Penguins forward Mark Jankowski on Thursday.

The hit came at the 15:27 mark of the first period after Jankowski batted a puck out of mid-air at the Washington blue line and back into the offensive zone, skating back toward the center-ice area.

The hit itself seemed to be the body and not the head, but it was certainly late, and with Wilson's history of questionable hits, it seems likely that the NHL's Department of Player Safety will at least have a look at it.

Jankowski was visibly shaken up on the play, and was escorted back to the Pens' dressing room. Obviously, it doesn't look good, especially because Jankowski was clutching his head while down on the ice after the hit. Wilson was issued a 2-minute minor penalty for interference.

Wilson's hit list includes a 20-game suspension, which came in November of 2018 when he delivered a vicious blindside hit to St. Louis Blues forward Oskar Sundqvist. The suspension was later reduced from 20 to 14 games.
