Just seven months after finishing treatment for a rare form of cancer, the Philadelphia Flyers Oskar Lindblom has been added to the NHL's COVID-19 protocol list. He is one of seven members of the team now on the list, but this has to be particularly unnerving given his recent health history.

Lindblom was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma in December of 2019, a rare form of bone cancer. He would miss the remainder of that season, but completed his last treatment in July of 2020 and managed to return to hockey for the start of this season.

It isn't know if Lindblom actually has COVID-19 or came into close contact with someone who has. The Flyers' Scott Laughton was also added to the protocol list Friday. They join Morgan Frost, Jakub Voracek, Claude Giroux, Justin Braun and Travis Sanheim, who were added earlier this week.

For Lindblom and other players such as Max Domi, who has type 1 diabetes, contracting COVID-19 could cause major issues. We can only hope Lindblom has been added as a precaution and will not suffer any complications.
