Some great news if you're a St. Louis Blues fan, as Vladimir Tarasenko practiced with his team Friday, indicating he may soon be returning to the lineup.

Tarasenko, 29, underwent his third shoulder surgery back in August and had planned on being re-evaluated in five months' time. When asked about his star forward earlier this month, general manager Doug Armstrong seemed quite happy with the progress he's making.

«The shoulder is not 100%, but it's at a point where the safety mechanisms are in place,» Armstrong said to The Athletic's Jeremy Rutherford. «He can skate, receive passes, make passes, and shoot to a level of his comfort. He's still a ways away. We won't see him for a number of weeks, but he's on the right track.»

Tarasenko has been one of the league's elite goal scorers for a number of years now, so it goes without saying he will be a huge boost to an already stacked roster. He was limited to just 10 games last season, but showed in that short span how good he still is as he recorded 10 points. In 507 career games, he has 214 goals and 428 points.
