The Boston Bruins have had an outstanding season so far, currently at the top of the league after finally overtaking the Canucks. According to an Insider for the team, they could owe a lot of this success to a player who initially seemed like a player to trade.

Bruins Credit Season's Success To Goaltender

One of the stars on the team is 30-year-old goaltender Linus Ullmark. While at first, he seemed to be a likely trade for the Bruins. At 6'5" and 212 pounds, he could have also brought some worthy players to Boston. Yet, his current record with the team is something that leadership now sees as something they can not go on without.

"Jeremy Swayman and Linus Ullmark have been absolutely lights out together 🤯"

Bruins Decide Against Trading Ullmark

Ullmark is clearly taking his time on the ice very seriously, and it is not going unnoticed. As a result of his impressive season, the Bruins have decided to hold onto the player in hopes that he can continue to help push the team through into the playoffs.

"The #NHLBruins are not trading Linus Ullmark during this season. It is the strength of the team and they aren't going to piss it away especially at this point. Ullmark also has a 16 team no trade list"

Despite the recent high-stick fine, this seems like an obvious choice for the Bruins. With 16 teams on his no-trade list, it is hard to imagine Boston being able to pull someone who could help their team more than Ullmark. Whether or not he will be key in winning the Stanley Cup, time will only tell.
