The 2023-24 season has been a brutal one for injuries with the Chicago Blackhawks, and for the second time this week, they've seen a player injured at practice.

Seth Jones takes a puck to the neck, leaves practice immediately

According to reports of those that were at the practice, veteran defenseman Seth Jones took a puck to the neck and was immediately helped away from the ice by the medical staff.

Seth Jones leaves the morning skate early after taking a puck near his neck.

According to Ben Pope on X, the puck took a deflection and hit Jones, as he immediately left the ice, in what could be a brutal blow for the Blackhawks already struggling season given what an important piece Jones is to this team.

Unreal. Another puck just deflected up and hit Seth Jones and he went straight to the locker room. Looked almost like a collarbone or something.

This is the second time in two days this has happened for Chicago, with defenseman Louis Crevier was injured in the exact same way on Tuesday, so it may be time for something to change with Chicago's practice, or maybe this is just a brutal string of bad luck.
