Demers Takes Shots At Claude Julien For Recent Coaching of Team Canada

With the NHL not allowing its players to play in the Olympics, Team Canada had an interesting assortment of players representing it in the Beijing 2022 Olympic Games, with mostly prospects and recent retirees from the NHL, or even players who didn't really pan out in the NHL but still had the skill to play.

It's not every day that you hear criticisms of Coaching during these events, however, Jason Demers recently took to a podcast to share his thoughts on how Claude Julien coached, and it was not positive.

Demers had a lot of criticism for Julien, but it mainly focused on his old-school style of play not meshing with the style of tournament they were playing.

Julien Suffered Broken Ribs During Tournament

Demers did note that Julien suffered broken ribs during the tournament, and interim coach Jeremy Colliton had to step into the main role. Colliton was able to coach Team Canada to a silver medal, and the team reportedly responded better to his style of coaching.

Do you think it was fair for Demers to take these shots at Julien?
