BREAKING: Ilya Samsonov's Fate Officially Confirmed

Ilya Samsonov hasn't had the year he has wanted to this season, being sent down for a week in the minors due to poor performances. Wil Joseph Woll out with injury, and Martin Jones taking a heavy onslaught of games, Samsonov's fate ultimately came down to whether or not the LEafs had faith in him to return on the latter half of their back to back tonight.

It appears they do, as Sheldon Keefe has announced that Ilya Samsonov will return to the net tonight for the Leafs.

We will see tonight whether Samsonov's brief stint away from the team has allowed him to reset mentally. He currently has a 3.94 goals against average with a .862 save percentage.
