After suffering another devastating injury that cut his 2022-23 season to just five games, a beloved veteran will make his return to the ice tonight.

Max Pacioretty will debut for the Washington Capitals

Max Pacioretty has been all around the NHL, playing in Montreal, Vegas and Carolina, but after another tough injury, he will now get back on the ice for the Washington Capitals.

With Alex Ovechkin and this team struggling for offensive consistency, this may be the move that sparks their entire season, with the playoff race in the Eastern Conference wide open.
The last time we saw Pacioretty play an entire season was back in 2019-20 for the Golden Knights, tallying 66 points in 71 games, but since that he's managed just 48, 39 and 5 games, scoring at over a point per game throughout that time.
Now, he will look to be the spark for a veteran team that's played solid hockey as of late, with the 35-year old attempting to stay healthy and prove he can still be an elite player in the NHL.
