Top-Six Canadiens Forward May Be Done for the Season After Scary Injury

The Montreal Canadiens won a big game last night against the Dallas Stars. They almost blew out a 4-1 lead, but they got the upper hand, winning 4-3.

However, in the win, they lost one of their top players, after a weird knee movement.

Josh Anderson, who had finally found his rhythm after a tough season start, scoring nine points in the last 14 games, had to leave the game, unable to put weight on his leg.

Major Update on Anderson's Injury From a Doctor

While no official update from the Montreal Canadiens have been released, a Doctor made a statement about the severity of Anderson's injury and what the recovery timeline usually looks like for such injuries.
Hockey gear obscures the fine detail but concerns are a torn ACL (6+ months), MCL (depends on grade) and/or meniscus (4-6 weeks if trimmed, 4+ months if repaired) along with bone bruise for Josh Anderson

With Alex Newhook, Kirby Dach, Raphael Harvey-Pinard and Chris Wideman already expected to be out long-term, adding Anderson's name to that list certainly hurts the Habs fanbase.
We should have an official statement from the organization after Anderson completes additional evaluations. We'll keep you updated on the situation.
