Two Swedish Superstars Tied to Original-Six Team
Things in Chicago are looking bright after a couple of disappointing years. After winning the draft lottery and selecting Connor Bedard, the Blackhawks are starting to become a hot commodity within the NHL.
Things might be heating up even more, with a rumor of two huge superstars wanting to come to Chicago next season.
It was reported on the Spittin Chiclets podcast that Elias Pettersson and William Nylander want to play with Bedard and company next season.
How does this benefit Chicago in the long run?
This could wind up being massive for Chicago. They currently have $17M in cap space and could definitely splurge this upcoming Summer.
Adding firepower like Pettersson and Nylander could point the Blackhawks back in the right direction. Currently, the Hawks sit in last of the Central division and have the second to least amount of goals scored. That alone would have these two superstars welcomed in Chicago with open arms.
With this season almost out of reach, the Hawks could be looking towards growing and competing next season. Will we see a Swedish takeover in Chicago? Only time will tell.
