Blockbuster Trade Reportedly Looming Between the Rangers and Jets
The Jets have been looking for a potential blockbuster trade all summer, and they may have found a partner in the Rangers. The two teams are rumoured to be cooking up a potential blockbuster deal.
Mark Scheifele's new home?
The Jets are rumoured to be proposing to send Mark Scheifele and defenseman Ville Heinola to the Rangers, in exchange for Filip Chytil, along with defenseman Braden Schneider.
Scheifele has been reportedly on the trade block the entire offseason, and this deal could work between the two clubs. It would give the Rangers a boost up the middle that they need, and the Jets would get a young emerging player in Braden Schneider.
Can they Make it Work?
The deal is certainly not without its critiques. Some are hesitant to assume that the Rangers will be willing to part with Schneider, as they were hesitant in the past. However, as training camp comes along, and their hopes to strengthen the top 6 increase, they might get the sense of urgency needed to make a deal like this happen.
