NHL star Patrick Kane said goodbye to an unlikely friend in Musician Jimmy Buffett, who passed away at the age of 76.

Kane Sends Tribute To Musician Turned Friend Buffett

Patrick Kane gave his condolences to the late 'Margaritaville' singer, who passed away peacefully on Sept. 1.

Kane and Buffett shared an unlikely bond, with Kane being a fan of the singer, so much so that he brought the Stanley Cup with him to concert performances of Buffett during all three of the Chicago Blackhawks Stanley Cup title wins, the then-Blackhawks star making it a tradition during their dynasty.

Video of Kane dancing at a Buffett concert in 2013 was jokingly referred to as the 'Kaner Shuffle', with even Kane's Blackhawks teammates recreating his moves, including Captain Jonathan Toews.

Buffett built a large fan base of dedicated loyalist known passionately as "Parrotheads", who would mimic the soft-rock sounds of the singer's tropical-based, easy-going music with costumes involving parrots, looks inspired by the beach cultures of Hawaii and Florida.

'Margaritaville' was later used as the name for Buffett's popular dining chain, with multiple locations across the United States, an example of Buffett's business sense behind his casual, laid-back stage persona.

While Patrick Kane wasn't wearing any parrots on his shoulder, there's no doubt about his life hood Fandom to one of America's most respected musical talents.
