The past week or so has been crazy for trades and signings in the NHL, but there are still plenty of quality players available. Contracts have looked slightly different this offseason due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, but nevertheless, many players are finding new homes.

Here are some of the top players still available :

Alex Pietrangelo - D

Possible fits: Vegas Golden Knights, Boston Bruins

After the Blues signed Torey Krug for seven years and $45 million, the former captain will be finding a new home this offseason. The 30-year-old had 52 points in 70 games last season, while finishing 4th in Norris Trophy voting.

Mike Hoffman - LW

Possible fits: Nashville Predators, Florida Panthers

The 30-year-old scored the most goals (29) among unrestricted free agents, and had 59 points in 69 games for the Panthers last season. Hoffman would make an immediate impact on any team's offense.

Evgenii Dadonov - RW

Possible fits: Florida Panthers, Boston Bruins

Dadonov has quietly been one of the more consistent right wingers in the league, and he could be a gem for the right team. He had 47 points (25 goals, 22 assists) in 69 games last year. The 31-year-old has played his entire six-year career with the Florida Panthers, recording 202 points (91 goals, 111 assists) in 280 games.

Mikael Granlund - C / LW

Possible fits: Calgary Flames, New York Rangers, Boston Bruins

Granlund struggled to find his way in Nashville, but it would not be surprising if he became a 60-to-70-point scorer in the NHL with the right fit. The 28-year-old has 352 points (111 goals, 241 assists) in 540 games with the Predators and Wild.

Alex Galchenyuk - C

Possible fits: New York Rangers, Ottawa Senators

Galchenyuk has bounced around a lot in his NHL career, and he is hoping to find the team where he can take his game to the next level. The 26-year-old has 320 points(135 goals, 185 assists) in 549 games in his career.

Erik Haula - C, LW

Possible fits: San Jose Sharks, Minnesota Wild

Haula could be a surprisingly good pickup for teams looking for forward depth. Although he has struggled with injuries in the past, Haula did have 29 goals in the 2017-18 season with Vegas. If the 29-year-old can stay healthy, he could bring more satisfaction than disappointment.
