The Four Nations Face Off was a brutal tournament for injuries, and now it's been revealed that Vincent Trocheck suffered a brutal injury as well, as he played through the Finale with an injury that occurred against Sweden.

Over the past two weeks, the NHL have taken the biggest win that the sport of hockey has seen in quite some time with the Four Nations Face Off, but it's safe to say that some teams won't be happy.

Matthew Tkachuk, Shea Theodore and Charlie McAvoy all sustained injuries throughout the tournament, and now, it's been revealed that Vincent Trocheck suffered a major injury blow too.

Trocheck broke his finger in the U.S. team's loss to Sweden on Monday, two U.S. team sources told The Athletic on Friday. Trocheck did not practice with the Rangers on Friday ahead of its first game back, in Buffalo on Saturday, like his U.S. teammates.

According to reports, Trocheck broke his finger during the USA's only round robin loss of the tournament to Sweden on Monday, with the injury being confirmed after the 3-2 defeat at the hands of Canada in the Championship Game.

Reportedly, Trocheck missed the New York Rangers practice as a result on Friday, putting his status against the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday in doubt, with the team needing him as healthy as possible moving forward as the Rangers chase a Stanley Cup Playoffs spot.

Trocheck was under some criticism for his performance in the Finale alongside Tkachuk, who were both fighting through injuries ahead of the game, and while he won't make any excuses due to injury, it clearly effected him during the course of the game, with the Rangers now desperate to get fully healthy over the last few months of the season.
