According to Elliott Friedman of Sportsnet, the Vegas Golden Knights have signed forward Chandler Stephenson to a four-year, $11 milion contract, carrying an annual average value of $2.75 million per season. Stephenson was set to be a restricted free agent this off season.

Stephenson, 26, was drafted in the third round, 77th overall by the Washington Capitals in the 2012 NHL entry draft. In 209 regular season games, he's put up 55 points (22 G, 33 A), 26 penalty minutes, and is a +21. In 50 career playoff games, Stephenson has 12 points (5 G, 7 A), 14 penalty minutes, and is a +3.

Stephenson was traded from Washington to Vegas on December 2nd 2019, in exchange for a fifth round pick in the 2021 NHL entry draft. He had a career year in 2019-20 split between Washington and Vegas, where he had 26 points (11 G, 15 A), 16 penalty minutes and was a +24.

He won a Stanley Cup as a member of the Washington Capitals during the 2017-18 season.

Vegas and Stephenson seems to be a perfect match, with 22 points in 41 games with the Golden Knights this past season after the trade from Washington. In 20 playoff games this year, he had 5 points (3 G, 2 A), 4 penalty minutes, and was a +2. Stephenson was a solid fit in Vegas' bottom-six forward group, and there's no doubt they're happy to keep him around for the next four seasons.
