Predators Make Top Goalie Prospect Available Before Draft
The Predators and Barry Trotz want to move up in the 2023 NHL draft and could shop the best goalie prospect in the NHL to do so.
Predators Shopping Askarov
Yaroslav Askarov was the 11th pick of the 2020 NHL draft. He was projected as one of the best goaltending prospects since Carey Price. He has developed nicely thus far posting solid numbers in the AHL and will be looking for a full time role in the NHL next season.
With Juuse Saros playing at an elite level, there may not be a need for Askarov in the Predators system which has resulted in GM Barry Trotz potentially using him as a trade piece.
It is reported that the Predators want a top-five pick and Askarov could push a deal over the hump.
