Department of Player Safety Reveal Their Decision About Cale Makar
The Colorado Avalanche's playoff run didn't start as they had hoped. It started with Gabriel Landeskog's injury preventing him from playing. Then, it was announced that Valeri Nichushkin had left the team after game two.
Their bad luck didn't end there.
In the fourth game of the series, Cale Makar gave a vicious hit on Jared McCann after the whistle, and the Department of Player Safety announced that they would have a hearing with Makar.
In the last few minutes, they announced their verdict.
Department of Player Safety Reaches a Verdict About Cale Makar
The DoPS has just published a statement revealing their decision on Cale Makar.
"Colorado's Cale Makar has been suspended for one playoff game for Interference against Seattle's Jared McCann."
The Avs will now have to rely on their defensive depth to fill in for Makar on game 5.
