Last night, it became official, for the first time in 16 seasons, the Pittsburgh Penguins would not be in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Just a day later, it has been reported that changes are coming to the organizations management, something that has been a long time coming according to Frank Seravalli

This is something you would expect to come after what would be considered a very disappointing season based on the standards set and for a lot of people, it's high time for general manager Ron Hextall and President of Hockey Operations Brian Burke.

I wonder how many people will be involved in this leadership shakeup. One has to think it won't just be Hextall and Burke although they should be the main ones to go if they want to go in a new direction.

It seems some management groups have sat around while the game has passed them by with the Penguins unable to adapt throughout the season , I would think that this is another reason for the changes as well.
