Yesterday reports had begun to surface that Matvei Michkov's father Andrey had gone missing. The reports stated that Andrey hadn't been seen since April 2nd and there was concern for the elder Michkov.

There are reports in Russia that Andrey Michkov, father of NHL draft prospect Matvei Mischov, is missing. Last seen April 2 in Sochi, where he's living with his son, who's playing on loan for Sochi's KHL team and is one of the top prospects for the 2023 NHL Draft.

Andrey had been living with his son Matvei, who is expected to be a top 5 pick in this summer's NHL draft. Matvei was currently on loan, playing hockey for Sochi of the KHL. Today however the news got much worse for the family who today found out the body of Andrey had been located.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Michkov Family during this time. It's unfortunate that the elder Michkov will be unable to witness his son's moment as he's finally able to achieve his NHL dream this summer.
