Carson Briere receives punishment from University after throwing wheelchair down stairs
When Carson Briere was caught on security camera throwing the wheelchair of an ampute down a flight of stairs, the backlash was strong. Hockey fans and non-hockey fans alike for outrage by the behavior that left a $5,000 wheelchair damaged. Luckily crowdfunding was able to pay for and repair the wheelchair.
After the incident Mercyhurst University promised they would investigate render their decision on Briere and his teammates action. Today the university made the following announcement:
Carson Briere has been removed from the Mercyhurst University Men's lce Hockey Team. Mercyhurst cannot comment further on this matter.
This marks the second university that Carson has been removed from the hockey team. He was previously kicked off from the Arizona State team after his off ice actions got him in trouble.
