Kyle Dubas' savvy is on full display this trade deadline. He went super-saiyan on Tuesday.

He has already acquired Ryan O'Reilly, Noel Acciari, Jake McCabe, and Sam Lafferty but still has more business up his sleeve.

On Tuesday, the Toronto Maple Leafs traded D Rasmus Sandin to the Washington Capitals for D Erik Gustafsson and Boston's 2023 1st round pick - previously acquired in the Dmitry Orlov/Garnet Hathaway trade.

Then, he followed that up by trading F Pierre Engvall to the New York Islanders for a 2024 3rd round pick and acquiring D Luke Schenn from Vancouver for a 3rd round pick. Just straight up fantasy hockey GMing from Dubas.

All the Swedes on the Leafs' roster saw Engvall and Sandin out as they were both traded either during or after practice:

No doubt Dubas is considering the option of flipping that 2023 1st rounder to add another player ahead of the deadline. The Eastern Conference is absolutely insane this season, and without a contract extension, he cannot afford to leave any opportunities on the table.
