According to TSN's Chris Johnston, the Anaheim Ducks have claimed defenceman Scott Harrington off waivers from the New Jersey Devils.

Harrington, 29, was traded to New Jersey on Sunday evening from the San Jose Sharks as part of the Timo Meier deal. The next day, Devils general manager Tom Fitzgerald decided to place him on waivers.

The Toronto native signed a one-year deal with San Jose in September 2022 after a successful PTO. In 28 games for the Sharks this season, Harrington had seven points (one goal, six assists), eight penalty minutes and was a minus-seven.
