According to Frank Seravalli of Daily Faceoff, the Boston Bruins have acquired former first-round pick Shane Bowers from the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for goaltender Keith Kinkaid.

Bowers, 23, was drafted in the first round in 2017 by the Ottawa Senators before being dealt to Colorado in the Matt Duchene trade. The Halifax native has spent the majority of the 2022-23 season in the AHL, recording 14 points (four goals, ten assists), 12 penalty minutes and is a plus-two in 37 games. He made his NHL debut on November 10th against Nashville, but suffered an injury and had less than two minutes of ice time.

Kinkaid, 33, signed with the Boston Bruins on the opening day of free agency in July 2022. So far this season, he's been in the AHL with the Providence Bruins, only appearing in one game for the big club in Boston. In 20 games for Providence, Kinkaid has a record of 8-7-4 with a 3.10 GAA and .909 save percentage.
