According to TSN's Chris Johnston, a trio of players were placed on the waiver wire on Saturday afternoon. Those players are: Jake Leschyshyn (New York R), Jordie Benn (Toronto) and Vinni Lettieri (Boston).

Leschyshyn, 23, has been with the Rangers for just over a month now after they claimed him off waivers from the Vegas Golden Knights in January. In 35 games between the two teams this season, the Raleigh native hasn't recorded any points, eight penalty minutes and is a minus-ten. Putting Leschyshyn on waivers helps the Rangers clear some of the necessary cap space they need to acquire Patrick Kane, which could happen any day now.

Benn, 35, has only appeared in 16 games between the Maple Leafs and their AHL affiliate due to injuries. In 12 games for the Maple Leafs, Benn has two points (one goal, one assist), 12 penalty minutes and is a minus-one.

Lettieri, 28, has spent the entire 2022-23 season in the American Hockey League with the Providence Bruins. In 41 games with Providence, he's nearly a point-per-game player, tallying 37 points (16 goals, 21 assists), 26 penalty minutes and is a plus-four.
