John Tortorella was in his old stomping grounds on Saturday night as the Philadelphia Flyers took on the Vancouver Canucks on Hockey Night in Canada.

Prior to the game, Tortorella met with the media, who asked him about his time with the Canucks. Tortorella mentions that he loved the city and the fans, but that the media in Vancouver were 'idiots'.

"I loved it here. The fans were fantastic. You guys in the media were idiots, as far as I was concerned. But, the fans, the city, being out in the city, it's such a beautiful city. The building, I loved it here." Tortorella said.

A reporter then asked Tortorella if it was just the media that were 'idiots' and he went on to say:

"The media, uh, I'm not sure who's still out here now in the group, but there were a couple of beauties when I was here. So yeah, but I guess that's all part of your job, right?" Tortorella added.

Tortorella only lasted one year in Vancouver, guiding them to a 36-35-11 record during the 2013-14 season, where they finished fifth in the Pacific Division. Just after the conclusion of the season, Tortorella was fired.
