Rumours are flying as we lead up to the trade deadline, which is officially less than one month away. But sometimes those reports aren't always true, as was the case with recent news from DailyFaceoff's Frank Seravalli regarding St. Louis Blues forward Ivan Barbashev.

Seravalli reported that the St. Louis Blues have informed Ivan Barbashev that he won't be re-signed and should expect to be traded in the coming weeks.

Barbashev's agent, Dan Milstein, commented on the report by Frank Seravalli, calling it inaccurate.

"#FakeNewsAlert: While we would like to keep Ivan Barbashev's future contract/pending free agency outside public debate, I can confirm that Frank Seravalli's repot is inaccurate."

While it's entirely possible that Barbashev, who's a pending unrestricted free agent, will be moved by the Blues before March 3rd's deadline, it's not often you see an agent call out an insider, especially someone as well known and credible as Frank Seravalli, for false information.
