Joonas Donskoi of the Seattle Kraken has not played at all this season, and for good reason. The 30-year-old forward suffered his seventh concussion in preseason action against the Vancouver Canucks. Now, in an interview in his home country of Finland, Donskoi said he fears he may never get back to playing professionally.

"Yes, it always scares and makes you think, especially when there are many of them (concussions)," Donskoi said during the interview. "You always have to think, since I'm a family man, and I should be a functional father for many more decades. Of course, decisions will be made before them about how to continue this."

Donskoi said he' still suffering from dizziness, debilitating headaches, and vision problems. He hasn't been able to practice at all. He said he won't know anything for sure until after another consultation with doctors, but things aren't looking great.

Donskoi has played 474 regular season games in the NHL, tallying 80 goals and 208 points. Besides Seattle, he's played for the San Jose Sharks, and the Colorado Avalanche.
