Toronto Marlies forward Kyle Clifford will be out 'indefinitely' after sustaining a hand injury during a scuffle in the AHL Marlies' Boxing Day matinee with the Belleville Senators.

Clifford was standing up for a teammate who just took a big hit, and the was seen nursing his hand on the way off the ice.

The veteran has played just 2 games in the NHL this season, having played 8 in the AHL, where he has managed a goal and an assist with 23 PIMs.

The big club probably won't need his services any time soon, barring a plethora of injuries. Perhaps once playoffs roll around they could use his veteran presence as a Black Ace.
