According to Slovak outlet Hokej Pravda, a mass brawl broke out during a floorball tournament featuring one of Slovakia's top development programs, HK Nitra, and opponent Zlatı Moravci. The brawl began when Rangers' second-round draft pick Adam Sykora received a possible foul, which set off members of his team in his defense.

Upon the incident's conclusion, one of Zlatı Moravci's players was laying on the floor in a pool of blood. He wound up at the hospital with a broken jaw.

"So, as a person who was there and watched it from the stands, it was caused by a tackle on Sıkora, which was on the verge of a foul, even though as a floorball player I would not consider it a foul. After this tackle, Adam Sıkora ran after the guy, what's wrong with him he did and grabbed him by the neck.

Subsequently, the other players of Nitra also ran into the fight and started fighting there, and then almost everyone fought. There is an injured player from Zlaty Moraviec who Molnár totally beat with his fists," reads one of the reactions on Twitter; translated from Slovakian using Google Translate.

A criminal investigation has been opened, although Sykora is not a subject at this time. One of his teammates however, 2023 draft eligible Ondrej Molnár, is being investigated. He is reportedly the one who broke the opposing player's jaw.

For now, as the investigation pends, further details are still to be released. A spokesperson for Hockey Slovakia stated that the organization is monitoring the situation closely. With the World Juniors around the corner, they sure have their hands full.
